The best way to learn a new language? (CD, DVD, etc.)?
What is the best way to learn a new language? I think French would be the best option for me career wise, though I'd like to learn another (like German) on the road. are CD or DVD a good way to learn to speak another language? Is there anyone can recommend a certain brand?
I think the best way is to take a kind of class where you could be in the presence of others who are learning the language. It really helps to have at least one person who learns the language with you, because then you can study together and learn at your own pace. I am currently learning Italian and Spanish with tapes in a class. For I find it very difficult to learn through the bands and just reading the language, because it does put you in a real conversation. Hope it helps you, and good luck.
